More likely he cares about himself more than the party. The objectives of a radio talk show host are totally opposite to those of a political candidate in a number of ways. Rush has maybe a million adoring fans who listen to him every day, who believe everything he says and repeat it with total confidence.
But he has these fans at the cost of TEN million people who hate his guts. Limbaugh himself has bragged he was 'the most hated man in America' and also 'the most dangerous man in America'. Being widely hated is a good thing for him, it shows his fans what he's up against, it gives him recognition.
But a politician can't do that. He has to get a majority of the vote, so he has to appeal to a majority of people. He can't cultivate a small cadre of fans at the expense of being widely hated.
This is why people like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Coulter, etc. never actually run for office. No matter how much their fans love them, each gets only one vote. Limbaugh is a relic from a past age of the GOP.
The things he did to help GHW Bush are no longer helping. The Tea Party helped the GOP win the House of Representatives in 2010 but today they're seen as a huge hindrance to the party's further success. But you can't ask Rush Limbaugh to be more moderate, to preach moderation and tolerance and a reasonable, balanced approach.
The GOP is seeing now that they created a monster. Limbaugh and Hannity and Fox News will continue to do what is best for their ratings, NOT for the party's new strategy (I mean as soon as they come up with one).
Hi. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. The only thing that he is loyal to is his pocketbook.
I would take anything this guy says with a grain of salt. People who get their political agenda from this guy are idiots.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
