Why do Marilyn Manson fans get so defensive?

It depends on whether you like industrial metal or not, hes not for everyone but he has done some decent stuff. You have to look at it from do you personally want to spend your hard earned money on his music? Its not really about someone else convincing you to buy it its whether or not you want to.

Hes got a pretty decent following and hes had a couple of really good albums but that's not your opinion its mine. Go to youtube and watch some of his videos or borrow some of his music from one of your friends, someone always has some of his music, it may be on a soundtrack or a mixed cd but someone will have it. But ultimately in the end its up to you to determine whether or not you want to listen to him.

His tainted love cover should not be the influence you need ro determine your decision, research is the ultimate decision maker.

Some of his stuff is really good. I liked almost all of his songs on Mechanical Animals. For songs in general you may like: Sweet Dreams Coma White Dissasociative Mob Scene.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
