Why do people think countries like the former USSR, Cuba, N Korea, China etc are/were communist...?

Unfortunately, Obviously entire nations of people DO believe the lie that true communism is benevolent because it deems itself to be a democracy or a republic. All liberal thought, policy, values and beliefs are based on specific, fundamental, and very alluring lies. All liberal rhetoric is justification of those lies.

There are zero exceptions. You are under the impression, democracies and republics insulate their citizens from tyranny. They don't.

They just force their citizens to enslave themselves. This process is easier than you might think. In the examples you mentioned, the government isn't limited.

The people keep voting themselves into slavery because they feel envious of those who have a grain of rice more. A republic, or democracy means nothing unless there are limitations on the power of government. Socialist and Communist National leaders have always fostered envy among their citizens as a means to power.

The envy they create is based on the zero sum game fallacy. The culture of envy, eventually, always limits personal freedoms. Unless people are encouraged to take risks, and keep the fortune they reap, Those who have less will always take more and work less.

Eventually people will be forced to work at the point of a gun. If you think about it, the culture of envy is overtaking every western nation. Try to find just one of Obama's speeches where he doesn't promote envy.

It can't be done. The more poverty the state can cause, the more people will demand confiscations from the rich. The irony is, the rich generally pay taxes in exactly 3 ways: 1) They make employees work harder for less 2) They make customers pay more for less 3) They make shareholders earn less on investments NONE of this helps the poor, yet capitalism gets blamed for the ever increasing poverty and the state takes credit for giving poor people MY money.

Democratic republic" means communist dictatorship. It's a bit like the USA calling itself the land of the free when it locks up a higher proportion of its citizens than any other country on Earth.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
