Why do people whose native language is not English go to English websites?

I have seen some people write in a language other than English too, don't know why. Maybe they think they are writing good English, but certainly Hubpages may not be a good site to practice writing in English, reading yes, definitely not writing, but who is to tell these people, without sounding insolent? *sigh.

Personally, I would think it's because they would like to practise their writing skills and knowledge of the English language.

I'm sure that many think that their English is good enough - but it is not. Certainly students who are learning English are encouraged to participate in English websites - to learn. Perhaps we should kindly point out the error of their ways in comments.

1. English is not like other languages. It once ruled over a large empire for nearly 2 centuries.

Their language is well known in all countries of the world. With this background, we can grasp the pulse of every country, every region and every religion. .2.

Other than Tamil, I know only English. (ndi thoda thoda malum hi)3. No other language is equal to English in all aspects.. For instance, encyclopaedia, history books, science books, geography books are available in English in large numbers.4.It is the language of a disciplined people, who built a large empire and then decently decolonised them.

Others would not have done it.

Because they are interested in you content, and want you to read theirs, basically. I guess if you feel bad about non-native English speakers, no restriction, such as English only websites, would make you completely safe. Also, if you assess somebody as incompetent, it's worth something only if you don't know who they are, especially if you feel strongly about these matters.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
