Why do some people on Askville see the need to hurt others in this community? Like Schelli?

There are just some people who are always putting others down or saying nasty things. I just don't know what to do. I will probably just leave askville and alll of my dear friends that I have made here.

I think I got the answer to that. The problem is that we are all human. And you are going to find good, bad, nasty, and other types of people.

Why did you need to mention a name? Doesn't it sound like you are hurting someone? If you don't like certain people, don't bother with them, period.

This is life, not perfection. If you have all these friends, don't leave them just because of one or two people. Look at it this way, suppose the person who put others down was a relative or somebody you knew in person, and not easy to get rid of.

Here, on the computer, you see the person who annoys you, you can ignore him/her, you don't have to read what the person says or take a break. You have control over what you read or respond to. So, don't aggravate yourself for nothing.

And reconsider staying on askville for your friends.

She does not do that She is tough and does not suffer fools. She is stubborn, inflexiable in the political arena and about relegion. Stay away from those topics and you will find an inquiring mind that seeks data and honest debate.

But you better have your facts straight, ducks in a row, crap in one pile, OR you WILL be cut to ribbons. Sources: personal opinion .

I Don't know I just think are some really mean people out here in askville that we need to watch out for. & I try not to answer their questions. I guess I'm just being more cautious.

1 I personally think you should take the Askviller's name out of your question. I think it can be viewed as a personal attack on the Askviller. And I'm not going to use the name here in the DB, because I hope you will reconsider and "generalize" the question.

Personally I'm tired of people intentionally picking on people. And even your question looks as if you are singling one individual out. If you (general "you") want to talk about human nature - well then that's a different subject and doesn't have to name names.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
