Why do we teach our kids to believe in "Santa Claus" knowing that he's fake. Arn't we lying to them?

Because we want to let kids be kids! They have to grow up and face the harsh realities of life soon enough. Besides, it teaches them to believe anything is possible, and thats a survival skill you need to have in todays world.

I loved believing in Santa Claus and when I came to the realization that he couldn't exist, I loved my parents even more when I realized it was them all along. Superstition is the wrong word for a religious belief. And although I'm not religious, all religions have a belief system set up that really is beautiful and if you can take that leap of faith, makes life much more pleasant and less lonely.

We can all do with some of that Chill out and let some magic exist in the world.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
