Why does it matter that the Koch brothers finance conservative organizations?

Here are 12 of political scientist Lawrence Britt’s 14 points of fascism. 1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism (Don't know a lot, but they are Republicans so probably so) 2.

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights (Talk to any liberal worth his newspapers and he'll dig something up for you) 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause (liberals, communists, unions, terrorists, Muslims, blacks, Mexicans, Arabs, gays, the poor—my God, the list is long) 4. Supremacy of the Military (meaning funding it over everything else and glorifying soldiers) 5.

Rampant Sexism (opposition to ERA, VAWA, Equal Pay for Equal Work. I'm sure their female workers make less considering that they opposed unions) 6. Obsession with National Security (Homeland Security, Patriot Act, Bush started PRISM.

I mention this because they are Republican. ) 7. Religion and Government are Intertwined (Being part of ALEC, I'm sure they support banning contraceptives) 8.

Corporate Power is Protected (Can your really not tell? They backed Citizen's United, oppose it's repeal via constitutional amendment, and oppose any and all separations of corporations and state) 9. Labor Power is Suppressed (They support "Right to Work" laws and bash unions all the time) 10.

Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts (they try to demonize "intellectual" scientists that "only do it for the grant money") 11. Obsession with Crime and Punishment (death penalty. I'm sure they'd like "stand your ground laws as well as part of ALEC) 12.

Fraudulent Elections (supporting Voter ID laws, opposition to the Voter Empowerment Act, opposing the reinstatement of Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act on all states) 13: Controlled Mass Media (As you said, they are trying to buy the Chicago Tribune, the LA Times, and more. They get more fascist by the day).

Not to mention their combined 40 billion dollars over dozens of industries to support that misinformation campaign ************************* "you hate profit.....we get it......" No, we hate people that word so hard at gaining at the cost of others. Specifically at the cost of others. The Koch brothers are like the two rich guys from Trading Places that bet a single dollar to see if they can destroy people's lives just because they can ************************** "Libertarians are about limited government" Yeah, limited to the parts they can control.

************************** "Speaking of rich political sugar daddies, how about that George Soros?" His wealth is a fraction of the Kochs.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
