Why hasn't the 4.2 iOS update for the iPad been released yet?

Initially the iOS 4.2 was supposed to have been launched on Nov. 12th. However, there were WiFi connection issues that a lot of users were experiencing and this led to the delay. Good news, though, Apple released the 4.2 iOS update for the iPad in late November of 2010.

This release finally lets iPad users access all the features that iPhone users have had. Multitasking: The ability to switch between apps Games Center: The official iOS social gaming hub Unified Inbox: multiple email accounts synced to your iPad, you can now see all of your inboxes on a single screen. Folders: You can now group apps together into folders, which saves you some real estate on the home screen and keeps your apps organized.
