That's a question that nobody can answer, since it's entirely subjective to what you consider to be a two-week wonder or a 'playable til I breath my last' game. Having not played it, I can't say whether I feel it to be any good - but if it's any guideline to what the next stage of COD could be like, I liked MW2 but I was kinda disapointed at it being basically completed from start to end in 12 hours (all difficulty levels included) - so it lost a lot of value being then resigned to MP use - and bear in mind here, i'm no hard-core gamer... a casual refuge from the days of Doom. At the end of the day, a game is mechanics and a concept - the concept is pretty much delivered on how the end result translates into helping you immerse yourself into the theme and plot of the game - the mechanics is the means of delivering the virtual experience etc. So where there are tangible ways of determining how much of an innovation (reality vs hype) the mechanics have improved over previous incarnations due to new mechanics (aka engine) or an overhaul of a previous incarnation - the delivery of the concept is much harder to quantify in terms of how it's hyped to death or simply just outstanding.
Really, you got to decide for yourself and that may just require taking a leap of faith - one I won't be doing again for the future COD titles.
Black ops looks pretty cool but looks may be deceiving... there are two companies that make the call of duty series. One is good at it (modern warfare 2) and the other company sucks (black ops). The only way im playing it is if I get it for a very low price but that's just me.
Hope this helped!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
