Why is NATO bombing Libya with depleted uranium?

I believe them and I’m not sick in the head. So I’ve found myself some proof to reinforce in my head just how safe modern ‘civilian protection bombs’ are. They really are very safe indeed and as someone has already mentioned, they have happy smiley faces on them.

This makes them extra safe and cuddly. Have a look at the clips below. If any of you are so naive as to believe the military that Tomahawk cruise missiles are ‘accurate’ then let me show you what the blast from 1,000lbs of homemade explosive looks and sounds like and the damage that it causes.

Psst .. Tomahawks are 3,000 lbs. ( 0:26) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fWbuUQw5... ( 0:57 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95kfrupoq... This is what 3,300lbs of homemade explosive looks, sounds like and the damage that it causes. ( the bit you want is at 1:10 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8rDB-1kE... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIxylUcvYNw&feature=related Libyan citizens live around them as they do in this country.

The west are to blame for many, many civilian deaths. ‘ Just thank your lucky stars that you’re not an Iraqi, Afghan or Libyan child cowering in your bed as the United States drops 3,000 lb bombs all around you. Try to imagine how you would feel if Al Qaeda were doing that to you.

How do you think you’d feel? Just for your info, John Lennon used to protest about war all the time. He couldn’t get enough of it!

Of course there have been several casualties from NATO airstrikes in Libya, but no-one if sick-minded for thinking civilians have been protected. Look at the bigger picture. Without the air support, it was highly unlikely that the Libyan rebels would have gotten a (basically) victory so quickly.

Now, if Gaddafi was still at large in Libya, think of how many protesting civilians would be cropped down by thugs with machine guns and even how many more rebel soldiers (who are also civilians) would be lost in battle. The air campaign in Libya, is therefore in my opinion completely justified. My sorrow is why nothing is being done in Syria.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
