Why is the Iraq war the same as the Vietnam war?

The current Operation Iraqi Freedom is the same categories as the Santo Domingo crisis during the 1960's, the Philippine Insurrection of 1900, and pretty much the "Chicago" gangsters wars of the 1920's & 1930's, in which the Chicago Police battled mobsters with "Tommy Guns", and street fighting The Dictionary defines a "Police Action" as, "...a localized action by regular military armed forces...against guerrillas, INSURGENTS, etc...held to be violating international PEACE and ORDER Irag has a "WANTED" list of people. These people are being sought by the US Government & Coalition forces, for arrest (or dead or alive), TRIAL, then prison or execution. As had happened to Saddam; he was arrested, tried in a court of law, then executed.

Just like a common criminal. He was NOT protected by any "laws of war Although ALL (or most) wars consist of one armed force fighting another. The main difference in Iraq is that the US "Is Not at War with Irag!

The US is NOT fighting an Air Force. The US is NOT fighting a Regular Standing Army. The US is NOT fighting another countries navy.

The US has NO enemy government to negotiate with. There is NO country to fight. The US is simply trying to restore order and stabilization to Iraq.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
