Why is the population of Marseille dropping?

Actually no, Marseille's poplation is NOT dropping, it has actually risen since the last census. The population of Marseille did drop in the 80's but that could be said for many cities around the world, due to a loss of many blue-collar jobs and economic downturns. Marseille is a working class city with many economic issues, and that could be attributed to the decline in population.
