Why synchronous motor is not a self starting motor?

A Synchronous Motor may be started by a DC motor on a common shaft. They are more often started by means of a squirrel-cage winding embedded in the face of the rotor poles. The motor is then started as an induction motor and brought to ~95% of synchronous speed, at which time direct current is applied, and the motor begins to pull into synchronism A synchronous motor is not a self-starting motor because torque is only developed when running at synchronous speed, therefore, the motor needs some type of device to bring the rotor to synchronous speed.

On modern automobiles an electric motor is responsible for moving the blend door to the proper location. Malfunctions in the control unit that send signals to the motor are possible as well as failures of the motor itself. On some models the replacement parts require calibration from dealership level equipment.

A noisy blower motor is one of those things that can drive you crazy on a long trip. This is also a problem where the age of the automobile doesn't matter much. Whether you own a 1967 Pontiac GTO, or a 2009 Kia Soul, debris can work its way down into the blower motor housing and make a racket.

Often the fresh air intake is on the engine compartment side of the firewall. Leaves, trash and pine needles have a way of working themselves inside. Sometimes this is facilitated by small rodents attempting to build a nest in the comfortable heater case.In addition to the common debris problem, the blower motor itself can generate annoying sounds on its own accord.

The plastic blades of the blower motor, nicknamed the squirrel cage by mechanics, attach to a metal drive shaft. If play develops between the two, the fan blades wobble back and forth and contact the heater case. The condition creates an intermittent scraping sound.

Finally an automotive blower motor has a few sealed bearings inside that can develop an annoying squeaking noise. The tone and intensity will change when speed settings are adjusted.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
