Why was Libya attacked when Syria had much more human rights violations according to our own state department?

I'll be honest it's becoming increasingly harder to know who to believe anymore and I sometimes think that's the objective.

It's one thing buying into the West's propaganda but you're only buying into the propaganda of Arab dictatorships, which is just as bad. The fact is Gaddafi was killing hundreds of innocent civilians and threatened to slaughter the population of Benghazi if they didn't surrender, that's when when the west intervened to prevent a massacre. Assad has already slaughtered thousands of his own people but this time the West are being prevented from intervening by Russian protection for the Syrian dictatorship.

Assad is a ruthless tyrant and it would be better if he were gone right now rather than letting him continue on massacring his own people.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
