A properly crate trained dog has no trouble hanging out in its crate for hours at a time - assuming the dog comes out and spends time with its pack outside of crate time. Many times, the dog will use the crate for alone time even if it doesn't need to be secured. Now, a dog that permanently lives in a crate is a different story.

THAT is abuse. Otherwise, the crate is no worse than putting an office worker in a cubicle.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
