First you need Wi-Fi, if you don't have Wi-Fi then I would suggest getting it, then if you a DS (DS, DS lite, DSi, or DSi XL) you can play those online too! .
I think the #1 game to play over wifi is Guitar Hero 3. It is fun, games are quick and everyone can get into. Because they have several levels to play with and 2 players can have different levels.
It makes it fun even when an expert is playing against and amateur. Another game that is fun is Mario Strikers Football. ( a soccer game).
