Will a regular SD Card Reader work with An SDHC card?

I'm getting my first device that supports SDHC soon. I've only used the smaller capacity SD cards in the past, and I was just wondering if my current card reader will work with the larger cards. Nope You need an SDHC capable card reader. The old ones won’t read cards above 2GB. Ths is what use for SDHC cards (it reads the older SD cards too).

Probably not From what I can determine a device has to specifically support SDHC in order for it to work. So, if you have an older non-SDHC reader it will not recognize the SDHC cards. Maybe. SDHC is the same physical size as SD, but not the same spec as the old spec had only 2 billionish adresses for memory bytes, and therefore the 2GB cap. There are current card readers that will support both formats, but older ones won't.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
