Will a wild caught American Toad eat crickets? And will a firebelly toad die/become ill if it eats one?

I'd stick to crickets and meal worms dusted with calcium thats what we have fed ours for the last two yrs and they grown from the size of a nickel to as big around as a pop can! You didn't say where you got this toad but I'm guessing you caught it and it could be stressed so let it be for a few days make sure it has a water dish if it won't eat after that its best to return it to where you got it!

They don't eat beetles and will only eat earthworms when they are quite large. Let it go where you found it you obviously do not know how to care for it if youtube is your source!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
