Cosmopinkice! In your given situation, adding someone with bad credit to your credit card may or may not hurt your credit score. Why?
If your sister will only use that credit card you are authorizing her to only to buy the stuffs you are telling her to then I don’t see any problem with it as long as you pay the balances full each month. However, if your sister would use the credit card for her own purchases and will not pay the balances full each month then since it’s under your name, your credit score will obviously be affected unless you will pay it yourself. You should know how responsible your sister when it comes to her spending habits.
If you think she can only ruin your good credit then I think it’s better if you’d just pay her through your credit card since you can transfer money to her credit card or account also. You can also pay only for what you owe it’s up to you. Or you only shop yourself online esp.
If the store has a website.
Very good question. Adding someone as an authorized user will not affect your credit score in any way. I added my wife to one of my accounts over a year ago and it did not have an impact on my credit score.
The only way your credit score would be adversely affected was if the monthly payment was ever late or you defaulted on the on the account altogether. The only way where having more than one person on account can have an effect is if you apply jointly with someone with a auto or home loan etc. I mentioned in a separate thread that when a mortgage lender ran our credit together, the median score of the person with the lowest credit was taken into consideration with regards to determining how much we qualified for.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
