Will Didier Drogba?

I wouldn't say he is playing the best football he has ever played but yeah, I think Drogba moving to the MLS is about right and glad in a way he went to Montreal rather than LA Galaxy or NY Red Bulls. I'm happy for Montreal fans, because I hope to see US footy getting competitive and competitive.

Comparisons are always odious'. But fact is - while the US of A's 350 million pop. CAN produce a feisty, combative NATIONAL team - taking on national teams from Brazil, Spain, Italy and even 'lil Olde England - and those 'effin' Germans (!) - as Bofo above (qv) observes - the MSL is still far BEHIND the intensely and densely League structures of EUROLAND - with its aggregate pop.

Cutting to the quick - a US-based base-ball TEAM somehow always seems to WIN the WORLD NBA Series (surprise-surprise) but IF a team such as LA Galaxy - endowed with Ex-Euroland 'stars' - such as say Beckham, Didier, Gerrard, Lampard etc - banking more CASH in their twilight years - ever QUALIFIED to join English, Spanish, Italian or German SOCCER (sic) Leagues - it would only ever start at 2nd or 3rd Division level. NO OFFENCE meant - but that's how it goes - in the truly WORLD/GLOBAL SPORT of Football.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
