1 Yes they will eventually but right now they are high end like mac pro etc. ,just like the first calculators cost several hundred dollars in the late 1970's -now you can get them for a buck 99.

3 Well...you won't have the usual hard drive crashes...but they are still insanely expensive compared to regular drives:cyberguys.com/product-search/?keyword=ss... .

4 It will pretty much eliminate crashes, although the components besides the actual storage may still fail, the data is supposedly always recoverable. Yes, prices are high now compared to hard disks, about $3 - $6 USD per gig depending on manufacturer compared to about $.50 per gig for hard disks. Prices will fall rapidly as more manufacturers want to offer them as options in their systems.

When I remember that my first 10 Mb hard disk cost around $3000 25 years ago, the price doesn't bother me much.

Whoa. Time-traveling will be the most profitable activity ever known to man! For $5, I can get a 1 GB flash drive (google.com/products?q=1+GB+flash+drive&o...) and resell it in '84 for $300,000.

(The math says $307,200, but I would be gracious to give a slight discount. )Then I could get a 1 TB hard drive for just $100 (google.com/products?q=1+tb+hard+drive&hl...) and resell it in 1984 for ... wait for it!...$300,000,000!(The math gave me $314,572,800, but I would also be gracious enough to round it down.) Computer question. How can I tell if I can put my swap file on a solid state hard drive?

My computer (Flipstart) cannot resume from standby since I replaced the hard drive in it with a solid state driv.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
