Similar questions: Health Care bill turn positive thing Democrats run mid term elections.
Well, as you know, a lot of the bill doesn't take effect until 2014, but help is on the way for pre-existing conditions, shrinking the donut hole for drugs to seniors, no cap on health care, no refusal for pre-existing conditions, etc. If the economy picks up and they can focus on jobs, it will definitely help in the mid-term elections. The very fact that health care reform has been discussed by every president since FDR, but this is the first time anything has been passed, is a milestone in Obama’s presidency--a historic moment. The Republicans can see what their behavior has wrought: Tea partiers carrying signs with a gun threatening to assassinate the Socialist, painting a tler mustache on Obama and spitting on a black member of congress and hollering the "N" word.
This is no longer just healthy debate; it’s gotten nasty and dangerous; it was always racist. Remember the Birthers challenging Obama’s citizenship? The moderates have let the extremists of their party take over and it is an ugly side of America that I’m ashamed to see.
Sarah Palin is accusing Obama of being in a job that is "over his head. " This, from a woman who quit a legitimate job being governor of Alaska, to become a rabble rouser, and lining her own pockets with fees from speaking engagements and writing a book. Now, the rhetoric starts from the right, scaring the American people about the health care plan.
Remember the death panels? Remeber Cheney running around during the campaign saying a vote for a Democrat is a vote for putting our country in danger? They’re still at it and they intend to keep this up until the elections.
Is this a winning strategy? Evidently, they think so. The voters will decide if Republicans are deserving of being re-elected.
It looks like sour grapes to me. I haven't heard one constructive thing come from their party. Even the more dignified and decent moderates among them (Lindsay Graham) have been silenced, thinking their strategy of non-cooperation will sink Obama.
This is unconscienceable; have they have forgotten the American people are watching? For all their whining about the health care bill, if they had accepted Obama’s hand when he crossed the aisle and asked for their help, they be celebrating the bill that would have included their input. They wound up shooting themselves in the foot.
Time will tell whether the politics of "no" will win out.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
