I can't tell you how great that would be to see implemented in the cloud or even on a client system. Thunderbird might have a plug-in but I've never checked. Here's how I think you could implement it.
When you draft a letter or even click the forward link it brings up a open composition of an email. There you can add CC:'s change the Subject, etc. Well If you click "attach file" it will often, in web-mail fashion, open a separate window as in yahoo or in gmail it will drop down a little browse and attach box. I would have an additional button there that would say something like "Attach Files from Inbox".
Now I suppose there's all sorts of window layouts you could implement to allow some one to sift through theiir files to find the right attachments or you could have all attachments listed in order of time with subject and address listed next to them in seperate fields. But what I think would REALLY MAKE IT TOP SHELF is in that window have a preview button. That way if you've had 20 versions of the same file going back an forth between you and the office you can make sure you attach the right one.
With gmail and yahoo they already have readers that will open a variety of documents (.doc,. Rtf,. Pdf, etc. ) I think it would also be advantageous to allow users to attach other emails as attachments using some open HTML standard.
I was able to do this with Outlook express. But I don't use it anymore. I will try and post a comment.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
