No, he would not make a good political figure. He is an actor and narrator but just because he sounds good is no indication that he would be a good officeholder. He has not been particularly vocal politically.

He supported President Obama in the last election. He supported a Democratic friend in a campaign for Lt Governor in his home state of Mississippi. He supported the failed attempt to remove the rebel battle flag from state flag of Mississippi.

He is not extremely educated and chose to pass up the chance to go to college. He just sounds that way because, well, he's an actor. Folks should really think twice, and then twice again, before considering actors for political office.
