Would you be offended if someone ask you if its your period?

A few notes about this: PMS, means PRE menstrual syndrome. Not "crazy", and NOT on her period. Most of the symptoms of pms are not behavioral, but physical, (such as pain, bloating, exhaustion, etc) and the overwhelming majority of women who have pms, don't behave erratically.

(And a lot of women don't get pms at all.) On top of of that, modern medicine has all but wiped out pms. Why? Because the pill, and many other forms of birth control (which the majority of women of birthing age are using) causes an end to the normal cycle.

Even those who still have a "period" are actually not having a real period. They are experiencing the effects of the pill wearing off, because it typically has a weeks worth of placebos in each months case. This was done intentionally, because women back in the 60's were nervous about not having a "period".

The pill, and many other forms of birth control will stop the cycle as part of it's method of keeping her from getting pregnant. So she CAN'T have pre menstrual syndrome, and she has no real menses. Just like you have no real menses.

Yet, men still use it to insult women. BTW, many women skip the placebos,( with their doctors blessing, ), and consequently have no monthly bleeding, real or fake. Men only ask your question as a barley veiled insult.

Women typically respond normally to BS behavior, (because we are generally taught to be mild, rather than bold, like men) so if you think she's acting erratically, try to understand her perspective or ask her what's bothering her, NOT if she's on her period. Chances are she's had a lot of pain and stress that day, whether she's on her period or not. Or she's probably picked up on something unsafe, or hurtful in the room, which men almost never seem to notice; or she's being harassed by words or behavior that men never seem to think about before saying/doing.

Besides, men act "crazy" all the time, but we don't go around asking them if they're having a testosterone tantrum. Why? Because that would be cruel and pointless.

Just like your 'period" question. Use some sense. There is almost never a time when a man refers to a woman's menstrual cycle without making it a negative.

It's also none of your business. Edit: It's not only treated like a negative, it has historically been used as an excuse to oppress women. Women are "dirty" because of their period.

Women "deserve to hurt" during their period and childbirth because of eve. Women today in many parts of the world, are kept indoors, and not allowed to go to school, because of their period. There are countless period jokes, that make fun of women.

Men often claim that a woman should not be allowed ot have sex while on her period. Men use a woman's period to explain a biological reason for insanity among women. BS BS BS BS.

The BS just never stops when it comes to a woman's period. THAT is why, when a man brings it up at all, we automatically take offense. Years of hearing men basically say that "period" = "women suck", have taught us that you mean harm when talking about our cycle.

Usually if you think a woman is being erratic, even if she is experiencing PMS, it's one of three things: 1. Being a man you don't pick up on the finer points of a situation, so you don't realize her response is not erratic, but caused by something. You simply haven't picked up on the cause so you don't understand her response.

2. She is being erratic, but not because she is experiencing PMS. 3.

She is one of the few women who do have mood swings during PMS, and she is one of the even fewer women who manifest their mood swings through erratic behavior. PMS can suck, but it's not a actual problem for most women as women can control their own behavior. Testosterone can cause an absolute suspension of critical thinking for the men that let it overtake them, but it's rude to point out such things, usually.

People can control themselves. You should try to look for context clues other than a person's chemistry if you want to understand their behavior. Chemistry only plays one role.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
