Would you let your 9-year-old daughter get a Mohawk like Will Smith's daughter Willow?

It is your daughters hair, she should be able to do with it what she pleases. We all have to take our own road in life, let her make her own path.

Well my children are grown and my daughter got a Mohawk but she didn't wear it spiked but on a rare occasion. Usually she wore it down so that it simply looked like a bob. So when and if my grand daughters get one, I will tell them that no matter how their hair looks I think they are so important and awesome.

And no doubt since she is a bald 8 moth old baby right now she will look totally beautiful like she does now.

Willow doesn't really have a mohawk, it's more a hair style a-la Rihanna. It's only hair and it grows back. If my daughter really wanted her hair that way, I'd let her do it.

Why put such emphasis on the way someone looks. Why do we all have to look the same? It's not like she's in corporate America. She's just a kid, being a kid.

Besides, different hair styles are cute on kids. Instead of being a follower, I'd teach my daughter to be a leader.

Before I could answer, I'd like to say that Willow doesn't look bad as I was expecting. She looks good in it. I guess it's because of her pretty face too.

But it doesn't mean I'd let my (future) daughter have the same hair style. It's not that I'm totally against it but here in our country there are strict rules to follow in most schools. I doubt if they would agree with that.

I wouldn't let my daughter be expelled or something just because of her hairstyle. If she really wanted that, then she should wait a little longer when she has more freedom in choosing what she wants.

No. That is a sign of paganism, slavery, and just plain looks retarded. As a reflection upon me as a parent, I could not, and would not allow it.

If they went and did it anyway, I would shave their head and tell everybody that they had head lice caught at school.

Absolutely not. But...what you allow your nine year old to do is based upon your preferences. I do not have a moral issue with it.

Instead, I feel my nine year old should look like a little girl still, not a punk star. Is it cute? Sure, it can be.

But still, not for me.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
