Would you rather (as a job/generally in life) take care of the very young (say under 3) or the very old (say 80 years+) and why?

I would rather work with children under 3... I love infants and toddlers.... they are soooo very sweet and cute. They bring such great joy into my life.... there is nothing more relaxing and peaceful to me as rocking an infant to sleep. The smiles they give you are precious and unmatched by any other age group.

I would like to look after the very young, because they will get older and more independent. While the older people will become more dependent and their health will be deteriorating. It is nicer to see a new seed growing than a tree is drying and dying.

Older people, because they can talk and give good advice and share knowledge. The under 3 set involves a lot of physical work. That's fine if you can lift them.

Probably the very young, cos they're cuter! I really admire those who take care of the elderly with real love and care - especially if they aren't related!

I don't have a lot of experience with the over 80s. I'd pretty happy to look after under 3s, as long as it wasn't 24/7. I'm an uncle, and little kids are fun and there is a lot of joy in taking care of them.

But it's pretty exhausting if you have to do it 24/7 with no backup. :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
