Would you turn in a family member or close friend if you know they were guilty of a crime?

Example=aunt Mable is paying down the mortgage with her little grow op. Or uncle Milton is putting his daughter through college with his Moonshine? Asked by Squeeky-changes-suck 11 months ago Similar questions: turn family member close friend guilty crime Politics & Law > Law.

Wow Squeeks, you really know how to put someone in a difficult position. I think I know my answer but, give me a few minutes. Phew!

If it makes you uneasy you don't have to answer. Squeeky-changes-suck 11 months ago .

It's according to what the crime is. From smoking or taking dope to murder. But I would try to talk it out with the person.

Have them to consult with an attorney. So the answer is yes and no. It's according to how bad the crime is.

Murder, child abuse, ... yes. Cheating on mortgage payments, ... no.

Yeah me to. Thanks for replying. Squeeky-changes-suck 11 months ago .

For those kinds of things, I would make sure that they know that I just don't want to know anything about it. But I would not be able to go to their homes if they were doing these activities and I was aware of it. Don't ask, don't tell kind of thing!

Do people still make moonshine and make real money at it, anyway?! But for more heinous crimes, like a robbery or a violent crime or something more major, yes, I would report them.It would break my heart and it would cause me many sleepless nights to have to do it, but I don't know if I could live with myself knowing that this person that I cared about would intentionally harm another person or commit a major crime. Hopefully I could convince them to turn themselves in, to do the right thing.

What about you, Squeeky? Would you? .

Probibly the same Poppet the examples I used I would just not want to know about it,and the heinous ones would probibly turn them in anonymously. Squeeky-changes-suck 11 months ago .

And as for the moonshine I don't know just used it as an example. Squeeky-changes-suck 11 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
