You buy a piece of jewelry, and it breaks the first week after you've worn it a few times. Would you return it?

Well, I don't wear jewelry, but if I did, I would definatly return it. I assume that if it were overly expensive that there would be some sort of return policy attached.

Return it, but how did it break. If it's your fault it would depend on the type of store I boughtit at.

No, probably not. I just don't get very worked up about that kind of thing. To me, it would most likely not be worth the hassle of returning it, especially since I don't tend to buy anything very expensive for myself.

Things happen. On the rare occasion in which I do get something more valuable, I make my purchases from the couple of stores I am already familiar with so I know I can trust the jewelers, and in those cases I am confident they would repair it for me. If I liked the item well enough to buy it to begin with, I would rather at least try to get it fixed instead of giving it up completely by returning it.

There is no return policy where I live, so I would have to suck it up. If I like the jewelries and it's quiet expensive, I would try to have it repaired. If it's a cheap one, then I just have to discard it.

As someone who used to sell cheap jewelries, I wouldn't be too quick to judge the sellers as the ones at fault, though. Mass product jewelries break easily, especially if you are not careful in how you handle and wear them.

I buy very little jewelry. If it is cheap then I probably bought it at a thrift store. Thrift stores do not accept returns.

If it is expensive jewelry, then I would ask the jeweler to repair it for me. If he wouldn't repair it for free after just a week of wear, then I would boycott that jeweler in the future. Here's some expensive jewelry I might buy, if I had the money.

Yes, I would certainly take it back to the store I had purchased it from and explain the occurrence to a customer service representative. I think that unless you purchased the jewelry item from the dollar section of a store, you do expect an item to last quite a bit longer than just a mere week, even if you did not spend hundreds of dollars on it. Even a $12-$20 item should be expected to last beyond a few weeks of wearing the jewelry.

I think anything breaking that easily demonstrates either a tremendous lack of care and extreme recklessness on the buyer’s part, or indicates that you are dealing with a cheaply manufactured piece of jewelry that you would be better off returning and receiving a full refund for.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
