In California if the bite was severe then the court would likely order the dog put down. Our homeowner's insurance would take care of any medical bills up to the limit of our liability coverage amount. They won't pay any punitive damages though if we have been irresponsible and let our dog off the leash or allowed it the chance to dig out of our yard.
We have muzzles for our dogs and we put them on whenever our dogs are out in public. It is just not worth the chance that they might bite some kid. They are dogs that we rescued from the pound.
They are both scared of little kids. I know there is a story behind it, but I don't know what it is.
I agree with charray, no way! My dogs are so good natured a child could crawl all over them and they wouldn't do a thing. Some smaller dogs are sometimes a bit nippy because of their size.It is purely a defensive mechanism.
If you only weighed 2 pounds wouldn't you be a bit skittish around someone who was huge? I would assure the parents that the dog had all it's vaccinations and offer to pay any doctor bills.
Yes. I don't care how long I've had the dog.. if it's capable of biting a child it's done. You could argue well.. what did the kid do to the dog?
But I have toddlers and well toddlers can be rough on pets I am not willing to risk my kid getting hurt to keep an animal. If it was a they brought it on themselves case I may try to find a home that won't have and does not have children. Maybe a nice old couple, but it wouldn't be my dog anymore for sure.
No I would not put the dog down I would have my homeowners pay the kids Doctor bills and he wouldn't be allowed near the dogs again.
Hell No! It would never happen because 1) my dogs don't bite plus 2) I don't let my one aggressive dog around any young children and 3) there is no way my little dogs would bite. But if for some unknown reason this did happen, I still wouldn't put him down.
I would go to court if I had to, to save my dog. I'm sure the little brat did something they shouldn't have to my dog to make them bite them. Sorry, but I really feel strongly about this.
I would not have a dog that would bite and I wouldn't have a dog that would be near a young child anyway.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
