You've scratched the length of a brand new BMW X6 with your supermarket trolley, do you own up?

Yes you do because it is the right thing to do. If the tables were reversed I am sure that you would appreciate an honest person coming forward and taking responsibility. The ability to get away with thing is a serious cancer that is pervading our society.

Because we got away without accountability does not make it right but unfortunately far too many people today believe that it does. WB.

Just to clarify, I haven't scratched any car, I have simply asked the question to get a view of peoples morals.

YES ..definately I would own up...I would hate that to happen to any car I owned wether it be new or old, my philosophy is.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I once backed into the side of a neighbours car in our street parking bay ,I could have got away with it there wasnt a mark on mine ( a 4x4 ) but quite a dent in his car, I told him at once, I didn't have to pay up he was scrapping it anyway.....lucky me eh!

Good question, my answer would be......................Nope! Although, if I was the owner of the BMW X6 I would be seriously "annoyed" (I would be worse than that but wouldnt like to say just how much on here! ) and I would want the culprit to own up.

If I knew the owner of the car, that would make it even worse and I definatly wouldnt own up....oops!

Yes, you should have left a note. Honesty and integrity define who we are. Accepting responsibility is hard.

But sometimes it's all we have left.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
