Active Duty National Guard vs Active Duty Army?

When you enlist you go to basic training and advanced individual training, which could be 6 months. Then, when done, you are released to your home unit, and you do one weekend a month, plus 15 days annual active duty form training , usually ih the spring or summer. There is also the possibility your unit would be activated ( called to active duty) in the event of deployment or emergency, but basically, outside of the weekend a month and the 15 days, it is only a part-time situation.

During the time you are not on duty you can get a job, go to school, whatever you want to do.

There are very specific personnel slots that are full time active duty. The are called AGR. These personnel slots are designated for Senior NCOs, ie E7 and above.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
