If you are from northern Ireland you will have to pay. You have to be a resident of scotland for 3 years prior to your course to get free education in Scotland if you are from northern ireland. It has nothing to do with your passport.
The reason is, as the UK (Westminster) has a seat in the EU and Scotland does not the UK must offer Eu students what England offers their own. So as Westminster has decided to charge students in england it means any student who attends the university in the UK will be charged. Now Scotland, education is devolved in Scotland and Westminster has no say in it so they do not have to abide by EU regulations, it kind of a loop hole but have taken the stance that if you come from an EU country that offers free education Scotland will offer students from those country's free education.
As northern Ireland doe snot offer free education Scotland will not offer any student from their it. You could quite easy go to the netherlands and get free education or anywhere else in the EU for that matter. Also if Scotland gains independence, joins the EU and continues to give free education it will be forced to give every EU student including English Welsh and Northern Irish free education.
Although Scottish residents get free tuition in Scotland, I believe even students from England and Wales have to pay fees when attending Scottish Universities so I would expect Irish (N or S) would need to pay as fees are met from the Scottish Parliaments budget as as education comes under Scottish control both historically and as part of the devolution agreement and not by Westminster.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
