Try this One thing I used to make for my kids when they were little I called Octopus and Seaweed. Now, it is not either of those things, it is actually ramen and hotdogs. First cut eight tentacles in the hotdog about half way up, it won't look like much now, but when you boil the hot dog the tentacles will curl up in a very octopus like way.
Meanwhile, cook the ramen and add 1-2 drops of green food coloring to the water, this will color the ramen a lovely seaweed color. Once it is all cooked, place a bed of "seaweed" on a plate, using mustard paint a smiley face on the octopus then arrange him on top of the seaweed. I also like to cut out a fish shape out of sliced cheese to place in the seaweed too.My kids got a huge kick out of this dish.
My kids also like it when I make my version of chicken cordon bleu. I take a breaded chicken patty and bake it according to the packaging. In the last 5 minutes, I will place a slice of ham on top of each patty, then on top of that a slice of swiss cheese. It is a huge hit and oh so easy for me to cook.
I serve it with a dipping sauce made from miracle whip and mustard mixed together..
Become the sneaky mother I was. 1. Fried squash- told them it was fish.
When they found the seeds once told them the fish had seeds for lunch. 2. Broccoli- cheese dip.3.
Cauliflower- ranch dip. Ranch dip on just about any vegetable.4. Steamed veggies with ranch or cheese sauce.5.
Salad with spinach mixed with the lettuce and ranch dressing. 6.Liver. Rinsed thoroughly and double dipped chicken fried.
They thought it was steak. I sneaked a lot of things past the boys. Some times it took a little psychology on my part.
Telling them it was for adults only or that they really wouldn’t like it any way and leaving it where the curious little things could find it or try it without parents watching or encouraging them. Letting another child eat the icky stuff while your child watches. Then there was the dessert issue.
For a piece of Mom’s chocolate cake; two spoons of at least one veggies had to be eaten. This was a firm meal time rule. After a while they realized if you mixed it with mashed potatoes and gravy it was pretty good.
Now I’m not saying this will work for every child. Some stay picky eaters for life. I know adults that won’t let this food touch that food.
There are some things I refuse to eat to this day, but I like to try different things and I tried to get them at least interested. Try taking them to places where they can sample different foods. We always went to places with buffets.
We let them choose foods, but they had to include at least the spoon of veggies to go with it. One thing I always made sure of was vitamins every day. I let them pick the flavor and shape.
But they had to take them. I watch my son using the same tactics to get his kids to eat now. One day he will realize all kids go through a phase or two.
Maybe I’ll be here to see my great grand kids turn up there noses at good food. I was going to show a couple of books, but since I never read any of them I won't. I always just used my common sense and knew if they were hungry they would eat.
Sooner or later. Sources: My experience..
Notes from a picky eater... As a super picky eater with all sorts of food OCD, I can tell you that I hate anyone else cooking for me if I can't control what's being put into the food. When I go to restaurants, I have to order everything specialized. You know what your child likes and dislikes.
You can try to "hide" foods to get nutrition into the child, or say "if you don't eat what I cooked, you don't get to eat". Or maybe allow the child to help with food prep and make some decisions about what you're cooking. I know I didn't offer a recipe, but it would be IMPOSSIBLE.
You listed a few dislikes..there are thousands of other foods...and I don't know this child, or even what age it is. I never assume that other people eat anything, because I hate it when people assume what I like. Example: I once had a friend ask what kind of cake I liked.
She wanted to bake me a birthday cake. I said chocolate. She baked a black forest cake smothered in fruit and red syrup.
I hate fruit fillings in cake. We both ended up unhappy.
Super picky eaters were taught that they can be that way. You should retrain them, unless you like to make custom meals for everyone. My kids will eat almost anything, and they love veggies and fruit. We made good, healthy meals.
If they wanted food in their stomachs they learned they needed to eat at meal time.No snacking if you didn't eat. Supper ended at 6:30 and the food was put away. It doesn't take long for a human to learn to eat when they get hungry or they have to wait until breakfast.
Over time we learned what things they really didn't like, and we avoided it when possible. New things? Rule was you had to eat two bites.
If they didn't like it, we'd introduce it again in a couple weeks. And of course some things just take time. Most little kids can't handle spicy.
That takes years to build up. But you can sneak a bit of spicy into foods a tiny bit at a time, so that after a while they can eat stronger dishes. You can also be sneaky and add some things in.
I sneak in anchovy paste into suitable dishes. I'm doing strength training, and I add protein powder into pancakes, cake mixes, smoothies, cookies, etc.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
