I think that at this minute the answer to your question is "no" there are not any published authors around. But if you actually want to know about how to secure a trustworthy agent, I suggest you go to agentquery.com They list virtually every agent in the country, and offer their addresses and their query letter requirements. One more piece of advice: Do not ever pay an agent or a publisher.

They are supposed to pay you. If they want money it is most likely a scam site. The site that I just mentioned is one of the few honest ones around.Be careful to pay attention to the details.

Do not submit a query letter for fiction until you have a finished manuscript, and an agent will trash your query if it not exactly as he or she demands that it be.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
