Any thoughts on Fr. Cutie leaving Catholic Church to go to Episcopal Church and to marry?

Sometimes people's priorities change. Thank goodness we don't live during the Inquisition. Sometimes people feel they are serving God just as well with a different doctrinal standard.

I can't say I agree with him.

My feeling is the Catholic Church better keep up with the times. As a Catholic I disagree with the church. I feel the rule of celibacy is outdated.

Since it was a Pope that made this rule, I believe it will be up to a future Pope to make this very important change. The numbers entering the seminary are decreasing every year. What does are future hold.Is it not enough a priest spends his entire life serving god?

Who was this Pope to request such an unatural vow? (I believe alot of the issues regarding the molestation committed by priests speaks volumes.) I believe the Catholic Church is the only one that does not allow marriage. If the church wants to have an order of priests or monks that want to take the vow of celibacy let it be a CHOICE!

I support Fr.Cutie. He changed denominations so that he could still serve God, yet marry a women he loves. I wish him all the happiness he deserves!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
