Anyone here own or have owned the Bio Cube aquarium or the Eclipse 3, 5, or 6 gallon aquarium? Did you like it?

I want a small aquarium but don't want a high maintenance one. These two seem to have good reviews. I'd like to hear from someone who has had actual knowledge of either of them.

6 gallon eclipse I have a 6-gallon Eclipse which I got Thanksgiving weekend 2007 to replace a 5-gallon tank which started leaking. The 5-gallon tank had a Whisper filter and an undergravel filter, and only two fish lived in it (a betta and a pleco), yet I could never keep it clean. I had to do a partial water change/vacuum the gravel about every 2 weeks.

The betta (2 1/2 years old) went to the great fish tank in the sky in September, and I replaced him with a dozen neon tetras and two cory catfish. This is SERIOUSLY straining the tank's capacity, as a 6 gallon tank should hold no more than 6 inches of fish--the neons alone are 6 inches, plus the cories add another inch and the pleco is close to 3 inches (fish inches are measured from eye to the base of the tail). The fish are fine, the tank is fine.In fact I just let it go SIX WEEKS without a water change or changing the filter (did the change/vacuum earlier today).

Yeah, it was a little dirty but my 5 gallon tank would have been completely putrid and everything dead. A once every 4 weeks 1/4 water change (from the bottom) and filter change seem to do it. Everyone says "your fish tank is so clean!

" which they NEVER said about the 5 gallon one, even when I had just did a water change/vacuum/filter change. I also have in the tank a bubble wall and a single air stone to help circulate the water, and a small heater (I think it is 15 watts; it originally was in a 2.5 gallon hex and although it's technically too small for the tank keeps the water nice and warm). Plus I have a lovely fake rock, a plastic plant, and a few other ornaments.

I HIGHLY recommend this tank and in fact wish I spent the extra money and got the 12 gallon size. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that I can't make/fill my own filter cartridges like I could with the Whisper filter. I buy 3 packs--the size the 6 gallon takes is Rite Size K and the local pet stores stock them.

I don't think it does. Wilth the all enclosed hood, how and where do you put in a heater if one were to be added?

4 It does NOT come with a heater, gravel or any extras like that--just the tank, hood/light & filter. There is a space in the back of the hood which you can pop out to allow lines to extra water features (like a bubble wall) and a heater. The hood only contains the light.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
