Windows 7 will be available retail in October if you can wait. If you can't, Windows 7 Release Candidate is available to download until August 20th ( tinyurl.com/9agzvs ) or you can get the RTM (essentially what will be on the final discs) through MSDN or TechNet Plus ( see this post: tinyurl.com/mpgp4h ).
You really don't want Vista Ultimate. Those of us who bought Ultimate were disappointed that it didn't offer much beyond what the other versions did at a higher price. Stick to Home Premium in most cases, or Business if you connect to large networks.
Most importantly, the reason to avoid Ultimate is that there is no upgrade path from Ultimate to 7, which is insane. What you should actually do is not buy any of them, just download Windows 7, which is still available from Microsoft's web site. It won’t expire until the middle of next year, is free, and is basically Vista with better performance and a better user interface.
Windows 7 has already RTM (released to manufacturing). If you are an MSDN or TechNet subscriber, you can download your evaluation now. Microsoft moved the ISOs up to Akamai.
If you are buying retail, the DVDs should be available in 4Q2009, hopefully October 22nd. Fulfillment houses will ship their "pre-release" orders, which were discounted for select countries. If you are primarily a Mac user, try Parallels Desktop for Mac.
You can run Windows virtualize/emulated without re-booting into another partition. The Windows applications will launch and float in the OS X desktop like a normal application window. http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/pd40_tutorial-en_US.
I wouldn't buy Vista, as Windows 7 is making a debut in October, and you can already download the RC from microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ I wouldn't spend a whole lot of money on Vista if your primary OS is Mac. Although, you could get by with the first piece of software on this page. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2060350368+1179223972&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&Subcategory=368&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc= OR you could scroll down a bit and get the Windows Vista Ultimate with the free Windows 7 upgrade coupon.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate, I currently use it, but I use Windows 7 RC about 75% of the time. Vista Ultimate has all the bells and whistles, it was a must have to me, movies as backgrounds, how awesome is that. Good Luck.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
