Are there any airlines that allow pet birds to travel as carry-on during transatlantic flights?

I am looking to fly from the east coast of the US to western Europe with my pet bird, an Amazon parrot. I'd rather NOT use cargo or checked luggage services, but if you have any information or experinece with these options, please feel free to share. Delta Pets As Carry OnYour pet can travel with you in the cabin for a one-way fee of $75 (to be collected at check-in) when traveling within the United States (except Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Pets permitted in the cabin include dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. Monkeys, pot-bellied pigs, reptiles, frogs, mice, rats, sugar gliders, and spiders are not permitted.

The following restrictions apply:Your pet must be small enough to fit comfortably in a kennel under the seat directly in front of you. Maximum carry-on kennel dimensions are determined by your flight. You must contact Delta Reservations to determine the appropriate kennel size.

Your pet must remain inside the kennel (with door secured) while in a Delta boarding area (during boarding and deplaning), a Delta airport lounge, and while onboard the aircraft. Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old. You may not carry on more than one pet.

Your pet in-cabin counts as one piece of carry-on baggage. If you're traveling to Hawaii, your pet won't be able to go with you in the cabin, and other restrictions may apply. See Pets to Hawaii for more information.

Also, Delta limits the number of pets per flight to: Class Number of Pets Allowed First Class 1 BusinessElite® 1 Main Cabin 2 Pets are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call Delta in advance at 800-221-1212 to arrange to bring your pet on board. Airlines of the Middle East allow Hawks to be taken with you into the cabin Airlines like Emirates allow Hawks to be taken with yourself into the cabin. But there is the limitation that there can only be one Hawk per class, so you have to reserve early. If this rule also applies for parrots I don't know but the best would be to ask your local travel agent who can do the necessary calls for reservation directly as well.

1 Another thing you might not have thought of--your bird might have to be quarantined. Call your avian vet and find out what paperwork you'll need to transport the bird out of the country and if quarantine is required. You might need proof of ownership too.

Quarantine used to be 6-8 weeks coming into the U.S.Good luck.

2 THANKS FOR THE HELP! BUT WHY DISGUISE SUCH A HELPFUL ANSWER AS A PRIVATE ONE? Lightninbolt, regarding your answer "Honestly, are you so self-centered that you don't think that the people on board the plane with you might just find it a little bit objectionable to have to put up with the sound, smell, etc.Of your bird on a transatlantic flight?

Though this is an online sight, it is still the real world here we're talking about. Do you think I could bring my moped on the plane and ride it up and down the aisles? Or maybe I could bring my guitar and serenade all the passengers.

Perhaps you are confused, as many pet owners are, that everyone finds your pet to be as charming and amusing as you do. This question seems oddly like a scene out of a Simpson's or Family Guy episode. It is questions like this, and the straight answers that are given, that makes me think that the majority of people on this site are out of their minds. 3 newbie2650464, regarding your answer "Delta ":Thanks for your answer, but the policy you quote states "when traveling within the United States (except Hawaii), Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. " I specifically need to travel from the US to Europe. Do you know Delta's policy given these circumstances?

I didn't see anything. Many thanks.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
