This actually happened to me. So, I can say that it is easier to forgive another person than myself. Because I know in myself that I have the control over my things and then I still allow some things to happen.
But that doesn't mean I hate myself that I become suicidal. I am not suicidal and even though sometimes I cannot forgive myself easily, I give myself a time to heal. I think that's the best form of forgiveness.
I think there are actually two different concepts involved here. Forgiving someone else is finding fault in something he/she did and then letting it go without harboring bad feelings. I think forgiving yourself actually turns into finding excuses for your own actions and rationalizing them in your mind.
There's a huge difference between forgiving and forgetting. To forgive yourself, you must first be painfully aware that what you did was wrong, and be truly sorry for it. Can you really forgive yourself?
I don't know. You did what you did. You can come to grips with it and learn from it, but can you forgive it?
I don't know.
I find forgiveness of others is much easier to do than forgiving myself. For others, it's giving them a chance to move past the incident, whereas I am facing my own demons daily.
It's always easier to forgive others as you never really know their motives. But when it's you who needs forgiveness it's because of some stupid thing you overlooked and it bothers you so you just really move on and look forward without forgiveness.
Most people go about forgiveness backwards. Focus in the wrong area and they never are able to forgive another. Here's how to forgive someone the right way.
And you want to move on? Life - and make sure it doesn't happen again?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
