Always make them, but do we keep them is the question! Be healthier or eat healthier is always a common one. I make one, because it can't hurt to make a resolution.
Yes, I routinely make them and then carry forward any that remain un-done from the prior year. The one carry forward is to finish paying off one last mortgage to be totally debt free (knock on wood). Also, I still want to run a marathon...this is a 3 year carry forward since the first year I was just getting started and had no such ambition, the 2nd year I had a bad foot injury and last year broke my big toe.
Hopefully this is the year!
Resolutions, here they are, together with their likeliness 1. Run at least five 5K runs without walking by the end of May - likely 2. Run at least one 10K run without walking by the end of May - unlikely (both the no-walking part and the starting one part) 3.
Gain ten pounds of muscle - not my goal. My real goal is 4. Be able to do at least 50 pushups without stopping by the end of May - not likely though I will make the effort 5.Be able to bench my own weight fifteen times - possible 6.
Finish school and find a good teaching job soon. - likely.
Not a big fan of New Year's Resolutions; if you want to improve something in your life, you should be able to motivate yourself to do it in June or July just as easily as the beginning of January!
Put the computer away more often (including especially turning off the power! ) Remember how short a year is.
I am going to do the following: Read more Play Wii Fit more (since I got it for Christmas) Spend more time with my family Learn to control my temper Those are good starts... don't want to overwhelm myself ;).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
