Try are still fighting in other areas. Did Olbama keep his promise? Are we really done?

Will it help/hurt? Will it help the economy? Would Republicans do more war?

Is this enough to win an election? Obama's hair is getting more white..stressed? Can he keep going?

He isnt going through anything many other presidents have gone thyrough. If he can't put up with it maybe he should lose the election. He is an average guy in an above average situation.

Sorry, He is an average buy in a difficult situation. He just isn't up to the job and should be ousted.

I think he is stopping the war to try to keep being president...but it may not be enough. I am glad for peace if it works. I am tired of fantastic people my son's age dying.

I am glad we're done with the warless war... however, it is a bit too soon to tell whether they will just find something else to spend the money on. I'm sure the republicans will want more war; bit only if Obama is against it. And yes, every president leaves office with white hair; except those who use grecian formula.

Republicans seem to do more war. When I hear the candidates talking they are almost pro war...to protect us...want to be offensive instead of defensive. It scares me that the Republican think to scare others will keep us safe.

I can accept that the best defense is a good offense; but there is no need for America to go out of our way to be offensive.

There is a small degree of that; but many of the countries we have issues with have our same mentality - build a military machine to try to scare their neighbors into being nice.

I am happy about so many of our people coming home. It was a mistake for them to be there in the first place. Bush was wrong and thousands died and the expense broke our economy.

Every president gets white hair. Its the unending stress. He will keep going because despite all of the criticism, he really does want to help this country and if he wouldn't get so much resistance from the Republicans, he could prove that his ideas work.

Of our military are gone...awesome young men/women...more than 400 in my state of WI who didn't get to have a life on this earth that was long enough to have this earth experience. My son survived 8 months in Iraq...but it scared me. He didn't even have a girlfriend yet or driver's license.

I'm not sure we're done there. They are weak and vulnerable and ripe for terrorists and their new ally, Iran, is happy we are leaving. Malaki is a Shi'ite muslim and they are in power now (Saddam Hussein was a Sunni).

Iran is Shi'ite so their alliance is predictable. It was Iraq that kept Iran in check. Now that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons, this alliance will endanger Israel.

Republicans (especially John McCain) are not happy that we are taking all the troops out, anticipating trouble. This is something I agree with him about, but in making Iraq a sovereign nation, they have a right to govern themselves. They asked us to leave.

We are leaving millions of dollars in homvees and equipment behind. Will we see the money saved in our economy? I sincerely hope so.

Obama did keep his promise about ending the war in Iraq, but don't expect the GOP to give him credit for it as they don't want to paint him in a good light with the upcoming reelection. Their entire modus operandi is "chicken lickin', the sky is falling. " He saved us from a major depression, caught Bin Laden, crippled many Al Queda leaders, saved the auto industry, got a heatlhcare bill passed, etc.He wanted to put people back to work by fixing our infrastructure and bridges, but the GOP blocked it.

He wants fair and equitable taxation (more tax revenue in treasury) but the GOP wants to keep tax cuts for the rich and are fighting tooth and nail to prevent any change. It's very discouraging, but the people still have a chance to send a message with their vote.

Great summary! Even though I don't want Obama care since it may only make the Conventional medicine richer and people not healthier...just run more tests etc.. Obama did do a few things worthy of praise which no one is talking about right now. I am democrat but didn't see much happening...but you put a new light to it.

I hope their is peace in the Middle east and no nuclear weapons, but I think they are Holy wars. I don't think anyone but Ron Paul so far may help the U.S.. Peace not war should be done....war is not a way to stimulate the economy. Thanks.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
