Are you really making decisions for yourself or is society making them for you?

I am responsible for anything happens with me and I can do all and manage properly. Sometimes society can influence on my decisions but never overcome. That's the reason I don't blame others if something happens bad to me.

I make my own decisions but of course I am restricted by societies laws. I do what I want when I want and don't worry what other people think or what they considere to be the norm. I have worked for myself for years and do quality work because my name is on it.

I am not one to keep up with the Joneses so I don't look over other people's shoulder or into their business. I can sell my business, my house and all my possessions tommorow if I wanted. I could go live in Hawaii if I wanted and start over but not in Cuba because of societies laws.

I eat, sleep and work when I want to. I am not held back by money. Of course there are purchases beyond my abilities but are they something I want?

THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD IS NOT THE ONE WHO HAS THE MOST, BUT THE ONE WHO NEEDS THE LEAST.

If you adhere to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Determinism Determinism, no one makes their own decisions. But if you assume everyone has free will, it would have to be a complicated answer of "both you and society." If you have free will, you can decide things for yourself.

But society often dictates what are "better" decisions, which complicates things. For example, you "should" go to college rather than get a job at McDonalds. You "should" take care of your spouse and children, rather than taking all your money and running away.

You "should" say "I'm good, how about you? " instead of actually answering the question "How are you?" in a casual conversation. On a deeper level, some things are instinct.

Like the family example I just mentioned - beyond the cultural standard of the "happy family," we have a certain amount of preservation instilled within us, that we instinctively look after our young and those we love. That's something we can't change - or if it doesn't exist, we're pschologically flawed somehow. That's beyond our control as well.

On your list or tree, place markings next to those decisions that are backed up by your intuition. Imagine your ideal self. If you were already the person you're striving to be, what would you do?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
