Askville as "Q/A forum" vs. Askville as game?

ANSWER & PLAY I'm sure some people think of askville as a game, and in a way....it is! By making this seem like a race to get points, people can ask more questions and get more answers. Those who use askville as a game are going to be more eager to submit the best answer for the "points".

I suppose they could just make askville another boring forum, but then...that loses all the "addiction" it to.

It is still both,though I think it's more than a game. It’s more than a game for most. Some people,including myself,come here to ask very serious questions.

You get points and coins as a way of rewarding you for your activity,while you can also lose both. There are weekly coin leaders displayed every week and overal. Those pepople are winning that part od the "game.

You also have leaders in all of the topics that can also be viewed regularly. I treat it as a game that way as I try to stay in the leader role in most of my heavily trafficked topics. So if I were to say one,in my opinion a Q&A forum,especially with the inclusion of the discussions.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
