Askville, I want to give a valentine's day gift to a "FRIEND" tasteful but non romantic , yet is must say I love U . It should convey the love of a friend to a friend, I am a male and this friend is a female. The gift should express love but not lustful love , respectful is the order of the day, any suggestions, thanks for your help in advance.PS this friend is in my real world, not on askville so the gift would be nice if it was tangible.
She likes to cook I thought maybe something for the kitchen . We are newly minted friends, there is a line that would be best if neither of us crossed , so ...... Asked by IOU-0 10 months ago Similar questions: Askville give valentine's day gift FRIEND tasteful romantic love Amazon > Askville.

Take her out to dinner. Even a good cook likes an ocassional night out without cooking.
If you don't want it to be too romantic take her out either before or after valentines day.
Thank you Lou, that is good advice, a bit premature for this relationship , it is a complicated one. (TO SAY THE LEAST) and the least is all I could say here in a public forum, thanks again. IOU-0 10 months ago .
For a brand new relationship don't get trapped into the "Valentine Day Scam. " The realtionship seems too new to be romantic, it seems more like a good friendship. Don't jump the gun and scare her off.
:) .
A good colorful cookbook or Noritake set based on what you can afford small or large .
In the late 19th century, Japan was called on by the West to open its doors to trade. Baron Ichizaemon Morimura seized this opportunity to begin importing china and other unique Japanese gift items to the United States through his trading company in New York City. The demand for Japan's fine china led Morimura to build a factory for dinnerware production in Noritake, a suburb of Nagoya, Japan, in 1904; it eventually became known as the Noritake Company. It took about 10 years before the factory was able to create porcelain that would hold up to export, and the earliest dinnerware was handpainted, using precious gold in its design.
During the industrial revolution of the 1920s, Noritake began to use emerging technologies to mass produce its china and make it more affordable to the average consumer. Noritake also developed some of its own manufacturing machinery and tools, such as electronic components and grinding wheels for polishing china, and the company still operates an industrial division to market these tools to other manufacturers. Today the 100-year-old Noritake Company has factories all over the world and supplies hotels, restaurants, and private owners with its superior chinaware.
Not a bad Idea , not bad at all , It may be a bit to much to start. But your suggestion has all the seeds of a good idea, thank you. IOU-0 10 months ago .
You are very welcome. I had to think hard when you said unromantic and at the same time giving the notion of the statement "I love you". By the way when you want to please a girl in a romantic way its diamonds, but when you have to move from bedroom to kitchen it has to be Noritake which replaces the diamond.
Try to remember if she has mentioned a dish that she's interested in. That way she will know that you are paying attention. I think she'll find that sweet.

Avira Anti-virus has a funky little offer right now that if you order the free version and then flower for your sweetie, it'll upgrade the free to premium. This isn't spam. I'm checking out the free version today on a lark--that's how I know the rest of that.
Rather, my "romantic" suggestion is to get your sweetie anti-virus software for her computer.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
