Well... I guess I'd choose bamboo because it's cooler. I mean, c'mon -- it's bamboo!

I actually live in an apartment with bamboo floors..they look gorgeous but I would never put them in my house...they dent easy and no matter what you clean them with (i use plain water) they are always slippery...i would definitely prefer wood floors!

Hardwood is preferred for wood flooring. Even you can use softwood also. But the maturity of tree, that matter.

Nowadays Bamboo is becoming very popular and slowly replacing the hardwood and softwood.

Bamboo is a great flooring material. It's harder than oak. R Oberoi is correct, bamboo is eco-friendly.

Some bamboos, members of the grass family, can grow a few feet in a day so they are a very renewable resource. Trees are too, but they take a lot longer to grow back. The only drawback I can imagine - for some people, maybe - bamboo does not strain too well.

Bamboo is "not" as eco-friendly as many people market the product. In fact, the production of bamboo flooring requires large amounts of formaldehyde which is extremely bad for the environment. Also, the location of most bamboo and the production areas require a significant amount of fuel to transport it to the production area, then to the consumer.

First of all bamboo flooring is eco-friendly flooring whereas hardwood is not. Secondly bamboo plant takes less time to grow than hardwood trees. Thirdly the roots remain under the soil after harvesting the bamboo.So another crop from the same roots can be obtained and this will be harder than hardwood.

Fourthly you need to care less for bamboo flooring. This shows that bamboo flooring is better than hardwood one.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
