Biological mother favours two daughters over me?

I Honestly believe you should try to find your bio family - I think everyone should know their history and have the chance to meet their families. I would also search for the sibling your mother mentioned (you were the 2nd child she had placed for adoption). My mom placed a baby for adoption against her will many years ago, She was deeply saddened she never had the chance to met him before she passed away.

I would love the chance to meet him and have continued searching. If you find each other and the reunion does not work out, you still will have information and answers you didn't have before. P.S. Not all parents (like your adopted mom) know how to show emotions or how to parent.

It sounds like you've grown to be a responsible, loving woman despite the hardships you've endured. You're stronger than you realize. Wishing you all the best.........

Yes and I am a mother who surrendered so am answering from that point of view. I did actually want to raise my son but was bullied and lied into surrendering. At the time I was told to get on with my life, that I would forget about him, have more children and that I would never be allowed to legally search for him.

I got on with my life although I have suffered with depression ever since, I didn't forget him nor did I have more children due to infertility (hubby). I didn't know I could have done things to help my son search and the law has changed since then (in the UK) so I could have actively searched. I didn't actively search for a variety of reasons including I didn't know how to go about it, fear, didn't feel I had a moral right to.

As it turned out I found my son without actively searching when he was 23 on a site we had both joined. He had been searching for 5 years and believed I had wanted to give him up so it was a shock for him to find out the truth. The point is your mother is the only one who can tell you in more detail why you was adopted and why she hasn't searched but she may be searching, you simply don't know.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
