It would be before that date. There are numerous scientists who have claimed our government has prevented cures for cancer from ever reaching the public. It's because our government is owned by the pharmaceutical industry who never want to see cures for cancer and diabetes.
We're only allowed costly disease management, not cures.
Well, just to name a few, certain types of lymphoma, leukemia, and many breast cancers are now cured. Many malignant brain tumors are now treated and cured. Many childhood malignancies are cured.
There is now a much better treatment for systemic lupus erythematosis. Many forms of vasculitis are now treatable and can be put into remission. Lots of chronic diseases are now able to be effectively treated and sometimes "cured" or at least well controlled.
We have many new drugs for pain control, Parkinson's, diabetes, cancers, gi diseases, prevention of exacerbations of chronic lung disease, wonderful treatment for asthma ( and we have made great headway on treating this.) Heart disease has come a long, long way over the last forty years and most people do not die from their "heart attacks" any more. Drugs for chronic heart failure are available, organ transplantation is available for many disease, adult stem cell therapy is starting to be employed for a wide variety of diseases. Joints can be replaced, diseased spines can be fixed.
Rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory arthritis are well treated and managed with the new biologicals recently invented. How's that for starters?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
