You can ask for whatever you want. Whether or not you will get it depends on the judge and the state that you are getting a divorce in. While you are asking for half of your husband's pension, your husband can counter with how much you are making, as well as anything else he wants to present his case in an attempt to reduce or even eliminate your portion.
Even if you was married over ten years, that doesn't entitle you to half of his pension. All the ten year mark does is guarantee that if you are awarded a portion of his pension you can petition DFAS to give you that portion via a direct deposit. If you didn't hit the ten year mark then whatever the judge awards you won't be paid by DFAS directly.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
