Calling all aspiring investigative journalists...best answer votes are now exposed on each member's profile?

Yes, it is an interesting new feature. I have noticed some patterns when viewing the results of my voting. If you vote on undecided questions often enough you begin to be able to recognize some of the answerers.

I try not to let that prejudice my votes, but when you find someone who usually gives quality answers it's hard not to think that all of their answers are high quality. Also, sometimes you can tell whom the answerer is from an @_____ in the comment section. Again, it shouldn't prejudice the vote; but it might.

This new feature will certainly make me think twice about how I would justify my votes if someone questioned them!

Very interesting feature. This Mahalo community is built on trust and transparency. The relationships made here will begin with our ability to trust each other and I feel this provides another road to absolute transparent honesty and therefore better built and more trusting relationships with everyone.

Cool idea, although I've voted for so many I'm not sure what I'll learn from the feature. Still, it might be fun to confirm that I tend to favor certain types of answers - which, no doubt, come from certain answerers! It might be fun to the total number of votes next to the "Voting Not only would it be another performance stat to inspire, it might be of help to those aspiring investigative reporters.

Thank you, ever-improving Mahalo development team!

Great idea! This will be very educational, particularly for new members.

As a total newbie here...day 3...I like this feature! Helps me learn about others on the site.

I don't think this feature is working properly. There are lots of votes I cast that are missing for when I was the asker - but there are some. There are lots of votes I supposedly cast where the best answer was chosen by the asker (not me) so they would not have gone to vote.

And some of them just don't look right at all.

I like the list, I like the extra voting statistics.

I like the new feature. I think it gives others insight on the type of answers that are most appreciated by other users. Also it allows users to get a feel or what a certain person looks for in answers, so they can answer future questions to the askers liking.

To a small extent, I don't like this idea. I'm worried people will tailor their answers towards people they know's interests, instead of supplying their honest best answer. It will further bias the truth of the answer; they'll leave out bits of information that support a balanced review of the facts because they know the question maker doesn't want to hear the other side.

Not saying this doesn't go on already, just think this will magnify its effect. And I don't hate the new feature, it has merit. This is just a concern.

That's funny! I just looked at my own and I see several names repeating as the person I chose. I guess I generally like their answers since you can't see who you are voting for when you do it!

=D Interesting to see what we've done.

It will be good to see what kind of answers people like. You really can't see the who the answerer is when you voting for an undecided question. A new feature is a new feature. It is going to be used by people.

@tealmyster is absolutely right in her observation. This is going to help in answering to the liking of the asker. That means more points...Good!

This makes me realize how little I vote on answers!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
